Dr. Afsaneh Zokaei, known to many patients as Dr. Sherri, has been caring for San Diego smiles for more than two decades.

Why She Became a Dentist

Growing up, Dr. Zokaei spent her days with her grandmother, whose false teeth caused her constant discomfort. Every morning, young Afsaneh saw those teeth sitting in a glass by the bed, and she decided she wanted to give her grandmother a smile that didn’t hurt. At 17, she came to the United States to study dentistry. That same wish to ease pain and earn trust guides how she treats every patient today.
